Rockin out as Marc Antony and Cleopatra

This Halloween Mark came up with our costume ideas. Actually, I think he came up with our costumes last year too. Anyhow, this year we decided to go as Marc Antony and Cleopatra. We got our costumes at the beginning of October and then beefed up on accessories for the rest of the month. Mark got some great accessories for his costume, including a sword and a warrior helmet! :)

We looked for a Halloween ball or Halloween bash, something similar to Night of the Dead from last year, but we couldn’t find anything like that. At that point, we just decided to go out in the Old City and party at our favorite pubs. We got out our tripod before we went out and took a bunch of pics at home. We took a bunch, and then I realized that I forgot to wear my “Queen of the Nile” snake crown, so I made us take more! haha! Then I got just a few of us at Barley’s and a couple fuzzy ones of the band while they were dressed up as an 80s hair band. The last couple of pics in the set are from my phone and are really fuzzy. But they’re still funny :)

Oh, and we wrapped up the month of scary movies with The Amityville Horror (2005) and The Haunting in Connecticut. Those two are absolutely scary and two of our most favorite!

Our first Knoxville Show

Two days ago, on Tuesday night, we went to our first concert here in Knoxville. We went and saw Widespread Panic. Panic is a southern rock band, and they are one of our most fav bands to go see. We always have an awesome time and this last time was no exception.

There wasn’t any flash photography allowed, but I did get just a few pics on my phone:

One more thing…. I added a few more pics to the Susan & Derek post. Their friend Taylor sent me some more and then I found some on my phone that I had forgotten about. I must admit we got quite rowdy that weekend and not all the pics made it to the website because of their level of rowdiness.

Blues Traveler at Sundown

This past Thursday night Blues Traveler played at Sundown in the City and it was awesome. So many people showed up for the event you could barely move. It took a long time, but we made it up to our favorite pub and caught some great tunes. The band was great, they played some of their classics and they even covered Sublime and Radiohead. Awesome night!!

Here’s a few pics from my cell phone:

Night of the Dead at the Barrymore

We spent our Halloween watching super scary movies like The Amityville Horror and Paranormal Activity (two of the scariest movies EVER), but the night before Halloween we went out for some fun.

The Barrymore in Madison had a Night of the Dead celebration with 3 bands, an Allman Brothers cover band, a Pink Floyd cover band, and a 70s funk band. It was so much fun, the 70s funk band was AWESOME.

Keller in Madison

Last Friday night Keller Williams came to town and we had a great time. I took a few pics on my phone…

It was a small crowd at the Barrymore, so we got a spot right up front – like 7 feet away from Keller – and didn’t miss a single song. Great show, very intimate and very fun vibe. Also, because it was totally low key – there was NEVER a beer line. Even at set break, no beer line. That was awesome. Oh, and absolutely no bathroom line at set break either. Very very cool.
